Memoria de seminario: Meta de inflación, teoría y evidencia empírica

Abstract

This essay summarizes the main ideas of the panelists who participated in the seminar "Inflation Targeting, Theory, and Empirical Evidence." This seminar was organized by the Central Bank of Costa Rica to create spaces for discussing the current relevance of the inflation targeting regime and to facilitate learning from the experiences of multiple countries in adopting this regime. The presenters emphasized that the inflation targeting regime has been successful, but monetary policy continuously faces new challenges that must be addressed.
